All Deals Asia: Launch of a Mobile Deals Aggregator
The Asian Pacific region has a plethora of daily deal sites, and plenty of aggregators too; but All Deals Asia hopes to be the number one choice when it comes to mobile deals.
All Deals Asia is working with over 50 daily deals and e-commerce sites in the Asia Pacific region and is the first aggregator in the region to launch a mobile app. The app launched on the iPhone last week.
Users can browse the app, instead of surfing multiple deal sites to find deals that may or may not exist. All Deals Asia is based in Singapore and its founder Goh Yiping is proud of the program.
“We believe this will help customers save both time and money when searching for the best discounts,” said Yiping. “Our iPhone App will offer greater convenience and also enhance users’ deals shopping experience.”
Within two days of the launch, the app has made it into the top three in the lifestyle category and become the 38th overall in Singapore. Push notifications and an Android version are sure to come. The app features deals from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, and Hong Kong. Only the biggest daily deal players in Singapore have their own daily deals app (Groupon and Deals.com.sg). The app also has a deal alert feature that users can turn on to remind them to redeem their deals.
The company was started in August 2010 with funding from Iconic ventures, an investment holding company and angel investor that invests in “promising” start-ups. Looks like this was a good choice!
Although there’s still skepticism in the daily deals industry, because there are so many deals companies in the Asia Pacific region, aggregation seems to be the way to go.
Here are some nifty screen shots of the app. Notice you can see deals by location, popularity and categorically
