Chattanooga Deal Site Giving to Schools

Who likes donating to charity? I do. It gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling. So, I have a particular fondness for daily deal sites that do the same.

CLASSeCASH.com is a Chattanooga-based daily deal website that is committed to supporting education and promoting its communities merchants.

CLASSeCASH representative Dennis Clark describes the site and its goals: “The concept is simple. Purchase a great daily deal and 50% of the profits from your purchase go towards the school of your choice! The ultimate goal is to donate $1.6 million to local schools every year. They’ve already raised $600 in the first months of business and hope the donations will grow as the site becomes more popular.  ON the site, there’s a visible running tally of all donations earned with each purchase, as well as the $ amount donated from each specific deal. Soon, deal purchasers will receive a form, telling them the amount from their purchase that is tax deductible.

Fifty percent of all the profits are donated to local schools. Half of that does to the school the buyer wants to support, while the other half goes to the school the business has selected.
