Groupon Receives “Buy” Rating From Goldman Sachs And Others

Camp Groupon? A Weekend in Chicago Sounds Like Fun!

Being a non-outdoorsy, girly-girl type, this is the kind of camp that I’d definitely attend!

Groupongroupon is offering an all-inclusive weekend package that it’s calling “Camp Groupon”, which offers activities all around Chicago and includes a concert by the Counting Crows and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (who are just fantastic live!)

The price point is $749 (looks like per person)and combines for the first time, Groupon’s partnerships with Expedia and Live Nation. The price doesn’t include transportation to Chicago, but does include two nights and a hotel downtown, activities, meals, and local transportation. There are 2,000 spots available and if you’re available July 6th-8th, act quickly!

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals performing at the House of Blues in New Orleans

There are multiple “tracks” from which travelers can pick; adventure activities, gourmet food, community service and more.

That Friday night a movie will be shown at Wrigley Field; last year it was the Chicago filmed classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day off”.  On Saturday, guests get to groove on down to Navy Pier to the sounds of the Counting Crows and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

The company says it has acquired sponsorship for the event from Lifeway Foods (maker of Kefir), Cricket Wireless and Coors Light.

So, you in?
