The Miami Herald has announced that it will be launching its entrant into the daily deals industry next week. Deal Saver will offer discounts of 50 to 90 percent for restaurants, services and events. The Miami Herald and Deal Saver are part of The McClatchy Company, owner of 30 daily newspapers in 29 U.S. markets. In time Deal Saver will become the central location for deals offered across all McClatchy publications.
Deal Saver will closely follow the traditional daily deals model, offering deep discounts on 50 to 90 percent off on restaurants, services and events. Merchants will also pay 50 percent of each voucher sold to Deal Saver.
The Miami Herald readers are the second to receive offers from Deal Saver following an earlier launch by California’s Fresno Bee.
