NetSuite’s Cloud Solutions Bring Cheer to WineMarket

netsuiteNetSuite a leading provider of cloud-based ERP and financial software solutions has said that it is behind Australian-based WineMarket’s recent great performance. WineMarket has replaced four of its software systems –ecommerce, inventory management, accounting, and CRM – with NetSuite’s cloud-based computing system.

WineMarket was able to post hyper growth by integrating its new eBay and Facebook stores with NetSuite OneWorld using NetSuite’s powerful cloud-computing ability. Besides, WineMarket has been able to integrate its regular online marketing efforts with group buying sites such as Our Deal and Spreets. These new steps have resulted in 11 percent of WineMarket’s inventory turnover coming from third-party retailers.

WineMarket, owned by Woolworths, is basically an online clearinghouse of quality wines offered at a discount. Woolworths acquired it along with sister company Cellarmasters in April 2011. The company has posted a 50 percent increase in sales year-on-year to date.

WineMarket faced a number of challenges with its existing software as its business grew. Manual order taking was slow, cumbersome, and error-prone. The earlier website was not easy to navigate leading to poor customer conversion rates. Also, many potential customers abandoned their shopping carts. WineMarket earlier had outsourced its call center, leading to slower response to customer issues and the risk of alienating customers.

To overcome these multiple challenges, WineMarket turned to NetSuite’s OneWorld. After increasing sales, WineMarket turned its attention to using eBay and Facebook to increase sales. The ease with which third parties could be integrated into NetSuite OneWorld was a crucial factor in WineMaster’s decision to expand.

NetSuite’s SuiteCloud development platform was able to provide a way to import orders from eBay, Facebook, and group buying platforms into NetSuite OneWorld.

NetSuite OneWorld can support an almost infinite number of distribution channels including third parties, enabling us to expand into new markets with only minimal additional costs. Adding new stores is almost as easy as clicking Lego blocks together,” said Jeremy Harris, the head of marketing and operations for WineMarket.

Mr. Harris is clear that WineMarket’s growth is because of the integration of call center operations, online marketing efforts, and financials to NetSuite OneWorld. The WineMarket brand and its sales took off as soon as the company switched to OneWorld, says Mr. Harris.

NetSuite enables WineMarket to centralize data and free staff from manually inputting data and orders. Online browsers too were more easily converted into buyers after the adoption of NetSuite. Besides, NetSuite gives WineMarket officials real-time data on crucial variables, enabling them to fine tune marketing campaigns and grow faster.
