Spott.com Donates 100 Percent of Proceeds to Help Earthquake Victims
Daily Deal Sites that Give
Spott.com is San Diego’s newest daily deals site, having launched this past February but they’ve already proven that community is top priority and by community we mean global. While normally Spott.com donates as much as 50 percent of its proceeds to sponsored charities based on the number of purchases, this month the site will be donating 100 percent of the proceeds from its deals to the San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross. Half of these proceeds will go to aid the victims of Japan’s recent earthquake and tsunami and half will remain in San Diego County to assist locally in emergency prevention and preparedness.
“We are so grateful for the partnership and generosity of Spott.com; every donation to SDARC, no matter the size, makes a difference,” said Andrea Waldron, Managing Director of Development. “Without our donors, American Red Cross would not have the essential resources that help our times of need.”
Spott.com lets you save money while making a difference in the world and it’s just as easy as using those other daily deal sites. The deal becomes available once enough people “Get It”. Spott will then instantly donate 15 to 50 percent of the proceeds from each purchase to a featured charity. The more people that purchase a specific deal, the high the donation percentage becomes until it reaches the maximum 50 percent.
“Spott.com is proud of its ability as a company to spread awareness and raise funds for influential local foundations” said Spott CEO Maximilian Schwarz. “We are now honored to be able to have the same impact on a global scale.”
Spott has also been actively involved with community events including the Finish Chelsea’s Run 5K supporting the Chelsea’s Light Foundation scholarship program.
