Lifebooker Redefines its Daily Deal – Launches ‘Same Day Discounter’
Merchants can lower price points before deal expires
Lifebooker launched their innovative ‘Same-Day Discounter’ platform today. This new platform adds yet another product to their list of industry leading yield management tools for businesses in the health and beauty service industry.
The ‘Same-Day Discounter’ allows a merchant to lower the price of unfilled service hours, before they expire. Members can then book those appointments, at even steeper discounts, online at Lifebooker.com. For example, a salon would use the new feature to immediately discount all unbooked hair appointments by 50% – 24 hours before they expire. The power is in the hands of the merchants. They can use this platform to discount appointments up to a week before they expire. Merchants also have the ability to vary those discount levels anywhere from 10% to 70% based on the original service price.
“Our focus has always been on creating technology enabling the dynamic pricing and targeted marketing of unsold service inventory,” explained Arnold Reichman, Lifebooker’s CEO, “We believe that this new feature will provide merchants with a simple and intuitive means of maximizing their revenue potential while requiring little managerial bandwidth.”
The response from merchants using the new platform has been quite positive. “It just makes sense,” said Jerry Chee, owner of Le Salon East, a business that has generated over one million dollars in bookings since partnering with Lifebooker in 2009. “With this tool I can easily drive clients to book during appointment times that would otherwise go unfilled.”
Many remember that Lifebooker launched in 2006 as the first company that enabled consumers to book discounted appointments online. Today’s announcement of the ‘Same-Day Discounter’ platform proves once again that Lifebooker continues to be an innovator in the local online marketing space.
