Recoup Acquires ForkingDeals

recoup2Georgetown-based ForkingDeals, a site that provides offers on food and beverage establishments has been acquired by cause promotions site, Recoup. Recoup describes itself as a philanthropic engine that brings businesses, consumers and nonprofits together for social good.

ForkingDeals is pleased to announce that we have joined Recoup (www.recoup.com) and will be offering a dramatically expanded selection of local and national promotions.

As an added bonus, every dollar you spend will help you support charities you are passionate about!

One great year after founding ForkingDeals, we are proud to announce that what began as a way to support local restaurants, bars, and events in the D.C. area is growing and joining forces with the first cause-shopping destination, Recoup.

Recoup hit the pages of Daily Deal Media late last year, when barely a month after their launch, they acquired Deals for Deeds. At that time Recoup said that the acquisition was the first step in the company’s plan to consolidate the online cause promotions space.

The ForkingDeals team has joined Recoup and user accounts were automatically transferred.

About Recoup:

Our innovative and patent-pending system empowers customers to choose which organizations they want to support, how much of their discount they want to give as a tax deductible contribution, and invite their friends to join instant fundraisers.
