Spark To Boost Engagement Through New OnlineTo Offline Promotions & Analytics Platform

SparkSpark Commerce, a Boston based privately held company, is focused on ventures at the intersection of digital and commerce, particularly in the online to offline space. Lately, the company has been taking steps to improve their marketing reach and ROI by working with select marketing companies.

Using a unique card-linked and mobile redemption & analytic system, Spark Commerce has developed a platform that incorporates the tools for increasing social activity and engagement.

Founded by entrepreneurs, Andrew Moss and Janssen Choong, Spark Commerce has a strong private investment backbone, as well as, expertise in payments, big data, direct marketing and social and mobile commerce.

Moss and Choong also assisted in the launch of HotWire, Customik, and BuyWithMe. One of the key components to Spark Commerce is Moss and Choong’s prior companies, they are utilizing software derived from those projects to discover and build important components, while adding new elements to combine mobile and social functionality.stone hearth pizza

Preliminary to releasing the product, Spark decided to complete a trial run with marketing company Gluten-Free Saver. The pilot program helped reinsure the platforms abilities to local merchants like Boston’s Stone Hearth Pizza, which debuted in 2005.

Spark was able to use the platform trial and social sharing of Stone Hearth’s gluten-free menu to target a group of potential customers who then spread the deal via recommendations and word of mouth.

According to a press release, as a result of this sort of isolated segment-to-product match, conversion metrics far exceeded expectations; and clients are finding it preferable to working with bank-focused “card-linked” companies like Edo Interactive, Cardlytics, or FreeMonee which can’t target the consumer attributes that are uniquely actionable.

“It’s very rewarding to be able to work with a high quality merchant like Stone Hearth and deliver valuable customers interested in the specific products they want to market,” said Andrew Moss, Spark Commerce’s CEO.  “As we expand on the platform capabilities we’re rolling out and add partners, we expect to improve our ability to serve as a channel for new customer acquisition at a positive ROI (in a way generic daily deal sites cannot).”

“The ‘Powered by Spark’ platform is opening up compelling new opportunities for our business. We experienced exceptional word-of-mouth spread with our promotion and grew our audience with little effort and are now planning larger campaigns,” said Zach Rachins, co-founder of Gluten-Free Saver in a recent press release.
