MyDeal Expands Presence in Malaysia

mydeal

MyDeal.com.my, a daily deals site currently available in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore says it will be expanding its presence in Malaysia with launches in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, and Ipoh with additional markets added later this year.

CEO Jan Croeni said they would be happy with 10 to 30 percent of the market share in each of these new locations. The site will be setting up sales offices in each city to work closely with merchants.

MyDeal, which launched just a little over a year ago, currently has 400,000 subscribers but plans to double that by the end of this year. The site is said to have revenues of over $600,000 (US) per month from 800 to 900 merchants in Malaysia and says that these numbers should increase significantly with the addition of the new markets.
