Groupon Annouces Partnership With Broadway Inbound

Ticketmaster“Relentless” may be the best word to describe Groupon right now. They may be down on their luck but they aren’t afraid to bring new and exciting ideas to the table in order to keep current customers and attract new ones.

GrouponLive, a joint venture between Groupon and Live Nation that was launched in 2011, announced their recent partnership with Broadway Inbound, the business-to-business ticketing platform for all Telecharge Broadway and Off-Broadway events.

The site, which serves as a local resource for Live Nation events, ranging from concerts, sports, theater, arts and other live events, as well as clients of its ticketing business Ticketmaster, gains the ability to process customers’ orders through the Broadway Inbound system, granting subscribers access to special ticket prices for top Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals, plays and concerts.

“GrouponLive is proud to feature Broadway Inbound inventory to bring our customers the excitement and thrills of Broadway,” said GrouponLive General Manager, Greg Rudin in a recent statement.

The first GrouponLive deal to start the partnership starts with an opportunity to see Kinky Boots: The Musical, based on the book by four time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. The musical is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell and has music by Grammy Award-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper.

“Groupon subscribers already enjoy exclusive access to arts events across the country, and we look forward to offering even more of today’s hit shows, like Kinky Boots, thanks to this partnership,” Rudin concluded.
